I'm not the first person to make this observation, but The Division feels like a thoroughly Ubisoft-style take on Bungie's divisive MMO-ish shooter Destiny. The sketchy premise does do its job of providing players an excuse to team up and explore the dangerous remains of the Big Apple. It's like a zombie-free zombie movie with a generous helping of patented Clancy conservative paranoia, instead. But The Division is, first and foremost, a video game, and I got to check out this upcoming Xbox One game. The Division is looking to make a much bigger impact, not only with games, but also with books and short films and all sorts of other brand extensions. The upcoming The Division marks the beginning of the first new Clancy game franchise since the moderately successful 2008 strategy game EndWar.
